Who ever said that Monday isn't just as much of a funday as Friday, Saturday or Sunday is mistaken. This past Monday, I enjoyed a casual night out with friends that included a sunset cruise followed by dinner at the fabulous Doc Ford's.
With our advance reservation tickets, we headed to the St. Petersburg Pier for a quick boat ride around the Tampa Bay with a company called Pier Dolphin Cruises. While cruising, we saw dolphins jump, birds fly, the sun set, the picturesque skyway bridge, a cruise ship pass by, a few small planes fly over head into the hanger, and (of course) the scenic 'St. Pete Pier' which is a stunning view from the water.
It was a chilly evening (absurd for Florida if you ask me), but they had blankets available for us if needed. The captain and first mate were great. The drinks were tasty. The pictures I got were amazing. But the company I enjoyed takes first place in my memory bank.
After the cruise we headed to Doc Ford's for dinner with a view and this restaurant never disappoints. Reservations are typically required because they get super busy, especially during tourist season.
Can you believe all this fun was packed into just 4 hours and I was tucked in bed by 9:30? True story.
There is no doubt this adventure is going in the Pen Pal Adventure Book!
